
Vineyard 48 was established in 1982 and recently named for its location on Route 48 in Cutchogue, NY. Formerly known as Bidwell Vineyards, these 33 acres are some of Long Island's earliest vineyard plantings. Vineyard 48 has received numerous awards and recognitions for its wines such as a gold medal at the New York Food and Wine Classic for its Merlot and a silver medal at the New York State Commercial Winery Awards for its Chardonnay. The Vineyard is committed to producing fine wines and hosting unique and memorable events.
The facility has a great tasting room, a large courtyard and lush vineyard rows all around. These sites can be used individually or combined to create the setting you'd like. You have the option of an indoor or outdoor ceremony and reception; tented affairs are available as well. The courtyard features teakwood chairs and tables with umbrellas and a picnic table area. The beauty of this setting is enhanced by the courtyard center fountain with running water. With its indoor fountains and bistro tables throughout, the tasting room offers a warm and comfortable atmosphere. Guests can enjoy a glass of wine, a game of chess. The friendly staff is well-versed on wines and ready to assist you with anything you need.
